We said goodbye to Jav, Shawn, and Evrald who have safely arived back home in Jamaica. We are incredibly appreciative of their work, contributions, positive impact, humor, and knowledge, and know they have a long journey ahead as they settle into the home that now looks very different from 8-9 months ago when they left Jamaica.
Sophie completed collecting soil samples and began a few MSF potting soil tests before switching hats and beginning her teaching role at Woodland Community School, great having her still on the 809 Brook Road property every day!
With the colder weather and end to many of our crops we have continued projects aiming to clean up and put greenhouses and gardens to bed for the winter season. Pole Beans (we already have notes to start them earlier next year so we can actually get a decent harvest off of them) finally succumbed to the cold and were removed and row covers cleaned up, dried, and moved to greenhouses to protect overwintered greens we will harvest again probably next year when they have had an opportunity to start growing again.
We had an opportunity to gather as a farm team and celebrate the season. This slide show sums up the 2025 season and provides a glimpse into the hard work, produce grown, soil nurtured, fun, and collaboration to achieve a productive, positive season. A few things to remember: This was made for our crew and shown on Jav’s birthday. We are excited to share this with you!
We share 809 Brook Road with Woodland Community School. CHILDREN AND PARENTS MAY BE STILL IN AND AROUND THE DRIVEWAY WHEN CSA PICKUP BEGINS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL NAVIGATING THE PARKING LOT.

Here's what you will find in this weeks share:
When you arrive at the farm, look for the CSA sign straight ahead and to the left.
Jaime will check you in and help you gather your share.
The Fall CSA is a set share chosen by your MSF Farmers. You will receive everything on the “basket” list. We will have a trade box available if you would like to trade one (1) of your items!
Winter hours have begun here at the farm however we WILL open the farm stand though during CSA pickup in case you would like anything in addition to your share.
Frozen Cherry Tomatoes
Remember if you are unsure what to do with these you can always pop them into your freezer. Some options though include:
Add to soups, stews, or chili
spread onto a rimmed cookie sheet, salt and pepper, a little olive oil and roast at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes - add garlic, herbs, onions or anything else you might want in a sauce
Add to pasta sauce
saute in a pan as you would other veggies and then add to eggs
