Thank you!

For supporting us as a farm, helping us to grow, enabling us to continue to produce and grow quality food and experiences, and for welcoming us into your kitchens. We so appreciate your engagement with the farm this season. In the next few weeks we will begin planning for 2026! CSA 2026 news coming in January!

Materials have been arriving at the farm. Steam from composting horse manure was trucked to the farm last week where we will let it sit before incorporating it in compost and gardens. We utilize this medium to mulch pathways particularly our onions!

Sam made the trip to Vermont Compost Company in Montpelliar VT to pick up Fort-lite potting soil. As we develop and work on our own potting soil, we will continue to use Vermont Compost’s potting soil because it is phenomenal. We will start seeding for next season right as 2026 begins.

Since starting to move around super heavy bins of food waste over 15 years ago, we have talked about acquiring a system to move food waste without ruining our backs. Tim used the new to us lift gate today for the first time. Thumbs up all around!

Animals

4 out of the 5 goats popped up to say hello in the nursery. The 5 goats, two calves, and 3 donkeys seem to be fairing quite well living together in the winter paddock by the farm stand. Stop in and say hello next time you are by!

Penny welcomed 13 piglets last week. These little ones make a pretty adorable pig pile! Conisdering they are not even a week old, they are spritely, agile, and quite quick!

We share 809 Brook Road with Woodland Community School. CHILDREN AND PARENTS MAY BE STILL IN AND AROUND THE DRIVEWAY WHEN CSA PICKUP BEGINS, PLEASE BE CAREFUL NAVIGATING THE PARKING LOT.

Here's what you will find in this weeks share:

When you arrive at the farm, look for the CSA sign straight ahead and to the left.

Jaime will check you in and help you gather your share.

The Fall CSA is a set share chosen by your MSF Farmers. You will receive everything on the “basket” list. We will have a trade box available if you would like to trade one (1) of your items!

Winter hours have begun here at the farm however we WILL open the farm stand though during CSA pickup in case you would like anything in addition to your share.
